Reinter was formed in 1992, as a full service independent CY/DEPOT, providing maintenance and repair services for reefer and dry containers, chassis, gen-sets and open top containers throughout Central America.
In 1996 we achieved a tax-free status of maquiladora (duty free drawback) becoming the first company in Guatemala to obtain this authorization. Our maquila status allows us to lower cost allowing us the ability to maintain larger inventories at more competitive prices.
In 1998 Reinter became an authorized THERMO KING dealer, able to provide qualified service, cover warrantees and supply parts for any THERMO KING Container units throughout Central America.
Reinter depots, give shipping lines the flexibility to save costs through decreased, storage, gate IN & OUT, and handling cost. Our reefer parts and services are available in all our CY`s and repair facilities including Santo Tomas, Guatemala City, Puerto Quetzal, Managua Nicaragua, Puerto Corinto, San Pedro Sula and San Jose Costa Rica. Besides cost savings, we provide complete depot services such as cleaning, reefer pre-trips, repairs, preparation of garment boxes, coffee containers, or any other special needs. As an independent CY, Reinter does not provide trucking services, and can provide shipping line rebilling to the truckers.
Over the past 30 years, we have made long term investments in Reinter and plan to continue to provide top quality service and operations that will consistently meet shipping lines requirements under IICL standards.
